Three Africans arrested in Cyprus for trying to leave the country with forged documents
Three people, all from Africa were arrested in Paphos, south Cyprus on Monday for allegedly trying to leave the country with a forged document.
According to Greek Cypriot statement, the three individuals, a woman, 30, and two men, 34, of African origin between 7.30pm and 8pm on Monday December 9, attempted to check in separately at Paphos Airport, to travel to a European country.
Police said they presented European identity cards, which turned out to be forged.
They were arrested for circulating forged documents and impersonation.
Police said they admitted to the crime of impersonation and forgery.
Police are investigating.
