Syrians in Cyprus celebrate Asssad regime’s collapse with peaceful demonstrations

Syrian nationals in Limassol south Cyprus gathered on Sunday to celebrate the capture of Damascus and the Presidential Palace by rebel forces, marking a turning point in the collapse of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

The event began with a march concluding at the coastal Epihosis area, after which participants returned to the rally point near the Crown Plaza Hotel. The demonstrators celebrated peacefully, with some offering traditional Syrian delicacies to fellow attendees and local police as a gesture of joy over the political developments in their homeland.

Police maintained a visible presence at the scene to ensure the event proceeded smoothly and without incident.
