Man physically assaults 51-year-old: Broke his skull

A who assaulted a 51-year-old in Lefkoşa yesterday, causing a fracture in his skull, will be detained for 3 days as part of the investigation.

The incident happened in Lefkosa on Friday December 20.

Police said the suspect EB was arrested and brought to court for grave harm and assault.

Police officer who testified in court said that the incident occurred in Lefkosa on December 20, 2024 at around 2:00 am. The police told the court that the suspect severely beat AG, who was lying on the ground due to the blows he received due to a fight with his brother in Lefkcosia on December 20, 2024.

The police stated that the suspect was arrested in accordance with the pending warrant obtained from the Lefkcosia District Court, that the complainant AG was being kept under observation in the internal medicine ward and that his life was not in danger.

The police stated that their investigation has just begun, that there are statements that need to be taken and camera footage that needs to be examined, and that the suspect be detained by the police for 3 days so that the investigation can be conducted safely.
