Imported potatoes now on market shelves at cheaper rate: 26 TL in TÜK, 32 TL in markets

The north Cyprus Soil Products Institution (TÜK) announced that sales of imported potatoes have begun.

In the announcement, it was stated that potatoes are sold at 26 TL per kilogram at TÜK and 32 TL per kilogram in markets.

Potatoes can be purchased for 32 TL per kilogram from markets or 26 TL per kilogram in 10 or 25-kilogram packages from the Soil Products Institution (TÜK).

According to a statement by TÜK, the institution was authorized by the Council of Ministers to import table potatoes, and sales of the imported potatoes have started.

The imported table potatoes are available at TÜK's branches in Gazimağusa's potato packaging facility, Kumyalı, İskele, Geçitkale, Akdoğan, Lefkoşa (next to the Ministry of Agriculture), and Güzelyurt. They are sold in 10 or 25-kilogram bags at a price of 26 TL/kg, including VAT. Retail sales in markets are offered at 32 TL/kg, also including VAT.
