Cyprus Met Office issues yellow weather warning for thunderstorms and hail

The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for strong thunderstorms and potential hail.

The warning will be in effect from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday December 23.

According to the forecast, isolated but severe thunderstorms are expected to affect parts of the island intermittently throughout the day. Rainfall intensity is anticipated to range between 35 and 50 millimetres per hour, with the possibility of hail in some areas.
