5.1 magnitude earthquake hits sea between Cyprus and Turkey

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 occurred off the coast of Cyprus in the sea between Cyprus and Turkey earlier today.

The quake, which took place near Antalya, was also felt in Cyprus.

The Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute reported the magnitude as 5.1, while the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) recorded it as 4.6.

According to the Kandilli Observatory, the earthquake occurred at 11:09 AM local time and had a depth of 10.5 km.

It was particularly felt in Nicosia and Paphos.
