Worker dies in power pole accident in Gönyeli

A 33-year-old man died in a workplace accident on Tuesday while installing power lines at a private residential complex on the old Gönyeli-Boğazköy road in Lefkosa.

The incident happened at around 11:00 am when the deceased man Taımoor Ansar who was installing electric cable on an electrical pole when the pole collapsed.

Ansar was rushed to Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkosa but died despite medical intervention.
