Two delivery drivers attacked in separate incidents in Limassol last night
Racists assaults on foreigners continue in Cyprus (south) as two foreigners who work as food delivery drivers were attacked and robbed in separate incidents in Limassol on Monday evening.
The first attack took place at around 7pm in Ayios Ioannis, where a group of Greek Cypriot youths attacked a delivery driver on a moped, stole his wallet and fled the scene.
Shortly after, six young suspects who were on a motorbike and bicycles targeted another delivery driver in Germasogeia, stealing his mobile phone and money collected from food deliveries.
Criminal Investigation Department officers are examining both crime scenes. No arrests have been reported.
More than 20 racist attacks against delivery workers have been reported to police in 2024.
