Student remanded in custody for living in north Cyprus without a resident permit
An individual who was found to have been living in north Cyprus for two years without a resident permit will be remanded in custody pending trial.
The individual, C.N, a student in northern Cyprus was identified and arrested on the evening of Saturday November 16 in Lefkosa during inspections carried out by Turkish Cypriot police across the country.
During immigration check, it was determined that C.N. has been living in north Cyprus without a resident permit for 718 days since November 29, 2022.
He was brought to court on Monday and remanded in custody for 3 days on court order for the purpose of investigation.
