Police seize 420 grams of cocaine in operation in Kyrenia
Turkish Cypriot police said it seized 420 grams of cocaine and a large amount of cash in an operation carried out in Kyrenia on Tuesday.
According to police statement, an operation tagged “Gaymak Operation” organised by the Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Directorate teams was carried out on Karaoğlanoğlu Street in Kyrenia at around 8.30 on Tuesday November 5, 2024.
During the operation 420 grams of cocaine in packages ready for sale were found and seized from a vehicle.
In addition, The cash
includes 4,000 pounds, 570 euros, 2,453 US dollars and 7,500 TL in cash,
believed to have been obtained from drug trafficking. They were also
seized as evidence.
A suspect, UB, 30 was detained for his connection with the substances.
