Municipality in south Cyprus mourns theft of Santa decoration

The municipality of Larnaca on Tuesday expressed its sadness after thieves stole the Santa from one of its recently installed Christmas decorations.

“The municipality of Larnaca expresses its deep sadness and indignation over the incidents of vandalism that occurred on the city’s Christmas decorations,” an announcement said.

According to an official statement, unknown perpetrators stole a Santa Claus figure that had been installed as part of the festive decorations.

Additional damage was also reported to various other Christmas ornaments throughout the city.

The Municipality called on all citizens to respect public spaces and help protect the Christmas decorations so that everyone can enjoy the festive atmosphere.

Officials have urged anyone with information about these incidents to contact Larnaca Police to help identify those responsible and bring them to justice.
