Gun found in a flower pot in a cafe in Kyrenia, another found in suspect's residence

A gun was found in a flowerpot in front of a café in Kyrenia, and one person was arrested in connection with the incident with another gun was also discovered in the suspect's home.

The suspect named only as MCS was brought to court on Thursday on charges of "Unlawful Possession and Carrying of Firearms and Explosives."

The police reported that around 1:45 PM on Wednesday, a pistol, a magazine attached to it, and nine live bullets were found inside a flowerpot at the front of a café operating in Kyrenia.

During the subsequent investigation, the police announced that a person identified as M.C.S. was arrested as a suspect.

The police officer stated that during a search of the suspect's room in Kyrenia, one pistol, two magazines, and 20 live bullets were found and taken as evidence.

The officer noted that the investigation is ongoing, and the seized weapons would be sent for ballistic analysis, requesting a one-day detention period for the suspect.

The judge evaluating the testimony, ordered the suspect to be held in custody for one day.
