Friday is public holiday in north Cyprus to celebrate the 41st anniversary of the TRNC

Friday, November 15 is public holiday in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to mark the 41st anniversary of the establishment of the TRNC.

The day will be celebrated with series of events across the country.

The ceremonies will begin with a speech by President Ersin Tatar on Thursday at 12pm from the Bayrak Radio and Television, followed by a 21-gun salute.

Ceremonies will be held at the Dr. Fazıl Küçük Mausoleum and Rauf Raif Denktaş Mausoleum.

A wreath will then be laid at the Atatürk Monument in Lefkoşa.

The official parade on Dr. Fazıl Küçük Boulevard will start at 10am with the National Anthem, inspection of the ceremonial units, and the celebration of the people’s holiday.

After exchanging messages, the flags brought from Lefke and Erenköy will be presented to President Ersin Tatar.

The ceremony will continue with speeches by President Ersin Tatar and Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, concluding with an official parade.

At 3:30pm, a Solo Türk air show will take place in front of the Atatürk Monument in Girne.

A cortege will take place at Girne between 2pm-4:30 pm.

In the evening, President Ersin Tatar will host a reception at the presidential palace at 6:30pm.

Ceremonies will also be held in other districts and towns to mark the 41st anniversary of the founding of the TRNC.
