Two individuals caught with drugs, precision scales and cash in Kyrenia

Two individuals who were found with narcotics in Kyrenia were remanded in custody on the order of the court on Wednesday.

The suspects, S.O.O and C.C.N, who are both Nigerian students in north Cyprus were arrested in Kyrenia by the police on Tuesday October 8. They were brought to court on Wednesday on drug charges.

Police officer who testified against them in court said during a search carried out in the apartment of the suspects located on Semih Sancar Street in Kyrenia between 8:10 pm to 9:30 pm on Tuesday October, 8, 2024 they found approximately 100 grams of a substance believed to be a Synthetic Cannabinoid type drug, approximately 1 gram of a substance believed to be a cannabis type drug, a precision scale with drug residue on it, a metal grinder and 22,400 TL, 700 USD and 85 Pounds in cash believed to have been obtained from drug sales.

They were all taken as evidence. 

The police officer stated that the seized items would be sent for analysis and that there were statements to be taken, and requested that the suspects be detained for 2 days.
