There will be a 6-hour power cuts in Lefkosia and Kyrenia on Monday

The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (Kib-Tek) has announced that there will be a 6-hour power outage on Monday October 14 in some areas in the Lefkosia and Kyrenia regions.

According to the announcement, the places affected are; “Boğazköy village area, Lefkoşa – Kyrenia main road Boğaz junction area, Hediyem Su area, St. "Hilarion region, GKK Headquarters region and Agirdag, Asagi Dikmen, Asagi Dikmen, Asagi Dikmen water wells region, Asagi Dikmen pens region and Dikmen Kirikkale Soldier, Bogaz Police Lodgings and Karter Barracks region and Fikret Kursat lands vicinity, Dikmen village and Dikmen rural lands region, Taskent, Dikmen Cemsa Houses, Gungor and Gungor Quarries region, the part between Oray Site and Bogaz Police Station, Emas region, Komurcu, Dagyolu and Pinarbasi, Gurpinar and Yilmazkoy, Serhatkoy, Serhatkoy Water Pumping Station, Gayretkoy, facilities and water engines in the region, Sahinler and Mevlevi, Turkeli, facilities between Turkeli junction and Zet Karting on the Lefkosa/Guzelyurt main road, Alaykoy and Metehan Border Gate region, south of Yenikent Vedat Gasoline."

Electricity will not be available in these areas between 9:00 am and approximately 3:00 pm on Monday due to the annual maintenance work to be carried out on the medium voltage electricity network.

It was stated that electricity might be provided earlier or later than the specified time, depending on the progress of the work, and that people act as if there was electricity in the network at all times, and apologized for any inconvenience caused.
