Student hit in university bus stampede

A student was hit by a university bus as a result of a stampede that occurred due to change in bus service.

The incident happened at a university campus in Haspolat on Friday afternoon when students of the university were trying to catch a bus. 

While the students swamped the bus, one was hit by the bus.

According to information obtained by Cyprus Post , a student who was waiting for a bus in the crowd was hit by the bus. The injured student was taken to hospital.

The incident was not reported to the police.

Students of the university have expressed their displeasure over the new regulation on school bus schedules.

According to information obtained, with the new regulation, service hours were determined as every two hours. A situation that caused the buses to become even more crowded with increased congestion.

The students also reported that students fainted due to lack of air due to increase overcrowding of the buses.
