Driver fined over 22,000 TL for dangerous driving in Kyrenia

An individual who was captured on video transporting passengers dangerously on the Lefkosia-Girne high way was find by the police.

Images of a motorist transporting passengers dangerously on the Lefkosia-Girne high way made the rounds on social media on Wednesday drawing reactions from users and citizens. 

Following the publication of the images on social media, the driver of the vehicle in question was identified by the Traffic Teams affiliated to the Kyrenia Police Department.

The driver was fined 22,239.30 TL and given 50 penalty points for carrying passengers in a manner that would endanger human life and other drivers and also for other traffic offenses.

It was reported that legal action was taken against the driver.
