Another delivery driver attacked in south Cyprus

Racist attacks against delivery employees continues in Cyprus (south) without stop as another delivery driver was attacked in Limassol early Saturday morning in which a 22-year-old was injured.

The attack happened at about 2:20am, on Saturday on Eleftheria’s street, in the heart of Limassol’s city centre when a delivery driver on his motorbike was attacked by a group of youths.

The driver, a foreign national was on his motorbike to deliver food when he was attacked. He fell to the ground and suffered injuries to his head and torso.

A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with the attack. Police said teenager is being investigated for causing actual body harm.

Delivery drivers have long voiced concerns over a spate of attacks, which has shown no signs of abating.
