10 people detected for working as illegal hairdressers and nail technicians in Lefkosia

Ten individuals who were found working illegally as hairdressers and nail technicians by the police in north Cyprus and legal actions taken against them.

The suspects were identified during an inspections carried out by the Lefkosia Turkish Municipality Public Health and Inspection Branch in cooperation with the Cyprus Turkish Beauticians and Nail Technicians Association in Lefkosia.

Ten people who did not have a workplace permit and were working as illegal hairdressers and nail technicians were detected.

According to the information provided by LTB, the necessary procedures were carried out and the service providers were taken into legal scope, and lawsuits were filed against 2 businesses.

The statement added, “It was ensured that 2 businesses opened new salons by obtaining business permits, 2 operators started working in businesses with existing business permits, and 2 operators applied for business permits and were evaluated. As a result of the inspections, 2 operators stopped their activities at their own request, while the legal action process for 2 operators continues.”
