Three injured in traffic accident in Iskele

Three people were injured in a traffic accident that occurred in Iskele yesterday.

The accident occurred at around 1:00 pm on Tuesday on the road between the Granel roundabout and the Ünimar roundabout, resulting in three people being injured. 

According to a statement from the Police Press Office, the accident happened around 1pm at the Edelweiss junction. 

The statement reports that Atina Kaplanian, 23, driving towards the Granel roundabout, made a careless turn at the Edelweiss junction and collided with the left front side of a vehicle driven by Hakkı Koçak, 38, who was travelling towards the Ünimar roundabout. 

The drivers of the vehicles, Atina Kaplanian and Hakkı Koçak, as well as a passenger in Koçak’s vehicle, Mehmet Keleş, were taken to Famagusta State Hospital. 

Hakkı Koçak and Mehmet Keleş were discharged after treatment, while Atina Kaplanian remains under arrest.
