Police seize over 4 kilos of drugs: 9 people arrested

Turkish Cypriot police said it seized over 4 kilos of drugs and 9 people were arrested in an operation carried out by narcotics police across north Cyprus on Thursday.

Police in a statement said teams from the Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Department of the General Directorate of Police seized approximately 4 kilos 600 grams of cannabis, approximately 5 grams of methamphetamine-type drugs, three precision scales and 910 US Dollars, 150 Euros, 70 Pounds and 16,700 TL in cash believed to have been obtained from drug sales in operations carried out in Lefkoşa, Gazimağusa and Girne on Thursday.

Nine people were arrested in connection with the incident.
