Man dies in fatal accident on Akdoğan-Vadili main road

A 32-year old man has died in a fatal accident that occurred on the Akdoğan-Vadili main road on Sunday evening. 

The unfortunate accident happened at around 8:00 pm on Sunday September 15 on the Akdoğan-Vadili main road. 

Police in a statement said the deceased Burak Sefa Ürüm was driving towards Vadili when he lost control of the vehicle due to carelessness and passed to the right side of the road. 

He collided head-on with a vehicle driven by İsmail Kaya 45 which was coming from the opposite direction.

Burak Sefa Ürüm, who was seriously injured in the accident was taken to the Famagusta State Hospital but died from his injuries despite all interventions to save him.

The driver of the other vehicle, İsmail Kaya, and the passengers in the vehicle, Ayşe Bayır Kaya 44 and Mustafa Efe Kaya 9, were also injured and are receiving treatment at the Famagusta State Hospital.

Police reported that the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
