7 people arrested across north Cyprus for causing public disturbance while drunk
A total of seven people were arrested for causing a public nuisance in Kyrenia and Güzelyurt while under the influence of alcohol.
According to statement released by the Police Press Office, the suspects OY, 31, BS, 21, and BD, 22 who were under the influence of alcohol were arrested with force at around 2.30 am on Thursday on İsmet İnönü Boulevard, Famagusta for causing a disturbance by shouting loudly.
Also, it was determined that BD had a "butterfly" knife in his possession and was carrying it illegally. The knife was taken as evidence.
In a similar incident in Baldöken Cemetery, Kyrenia, police said at around 8.30am on Thursday they arrested MC, 49 and MA, 51, who were under the influence of alcohol for causing disturbance to the surroundings by shouting loudly.
At around 12.40am on Thursday on Dr. Fazıl Küçük Street in Kyrenia, police said they arrested OK, 49 for causing public disturbance and shouting loudly while under the influence of alcohol. Police said he refused to give a breath sample.
At around 10:00pm on Wednesday in Ankara Street in Güzelyurt, police said they arrested TD 36, for shouting loudly and throwing garbage cans around while under the influence of alcohol.
