Two house thieves arrested in Lefkosa

Two individuals who broke into an apartment in Lefkosa were detained for 3 days on court order.

The suspects. Ö.Z and E.K, both Turkish Cypriots reportedly broke into a house located in Lefkosa between March 1 and August 23 and stole several items.

Police in a court testimony said the suspects entered the house belonging to one S.Ş. in Lefkoşa between March 1 and August 23 by opening the wooden shutters and stole many items. 

Police said that the suspects were identified and arrested on Sunday and that some of the stolen items were found during a search of Ö.Z's residence. The police officer said that both suspects gave confessional statements.

Police stated that a wanted person had also been identified in the case and that an arrest warrant had been issued for the person in question. 

The police officer said that the investigation was ongoing, that there was camera footage to be examined and statements to be taken. The police stated that there was also a wanted person and requested that the suspects be detained for 3 days.
