Turkiye grants visa exemption to Iraqi citizens
Turkiye has announced visa exemption for Iraqi citizens who want to travel to the country.
According to the Official Gazette decision signed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, visa exemption was granted to Iraqi citizens who want to travel to Turkey.
According to this regulation, Iraqi citizens under the age of 15 and over the age of 50 will be able to enter Turkey without a visa as of September 1, 2024.
The decision signed by Erdoğan stated that "It has been decided that citizens of the Republic of Iraq who are under the age of 15 and over the age of 50 and who hold an ordinary passport will be exempt from visas for their touristic trips and transit passages to Turkey with a maximum residence period of 90 days within every 180 days, starting from September 1, 2024."
