TRNC government bans Nigerian, Turkish, Chinese and Swedish nationals for fraud, money laundering, illegal betting

The TRNC Council of Ministers has declared two people as banned immigrants and banned seven people from entering the TRNC.

The decisions were published in the Official Gazette on Friday.

10.5.1999- It was decided that H.C.O, a Nigerian national born in Abuja, be declared a prohibited immigrant because it was learned that he was a member of the fraud gang called "Yahoo Boys" and that he was carrying out various fraudulent activities on the internet, and that he was likely to act in a way that would endanger public order, administrative order or general morality, or to arouse hostility among the people of the TRNC and against the state, or to plot against the authority and power of the state, in accordance with subparagraph (g) of paragraph (1) of article 6 of the Chapter 105 Aliens and Immigration Law.

29.7.1962- J.E.A, a British citizen born in Hull, was also declared a prohibited immigrant in accordance with subparagraph (g) of paragraph (1) of article 6 of the Chapter 105 Aliens and Immigration Act, because he was likely to act in a way that would endanger public order, administrative order or general morality, or to arouse hostility among the people of the TRNC and against the state, or to plot against the authority and power of the state.

The Council of Ministers also decided to ban the entry of Turkish nationals, M.Ä°.T, born in Malatya, Turkiye on 23.9.1997, C.O.B, born in Malatya, Turkiye on 25.9.1993, and Ä°.B, born in Malatya, Turkiye on 7.1.2002, into the TRNC in accordance with Article 7 of the Chapter 105 Foreigners and Immigration Law, in the interest of public interest and security, since it was learned that they were registered as students, but their main reason for being in the TRNC was to conduct money laundering activities and organize various crimes.

20.7.1977 - Swedish national M.J.B, born in Skansfagerh, was also banned from entering the TRNC in accordance with Article 7 of the Chapter 105 Aliens and Immigration Law.

The Council of Ministers also banned a Chinese national, T.W, born in Hebei, China on 7.7.1981, from entering the TRNC in accordance with Article 7 of the Chapter 105 Aliens and Immigration Law, as he is wanted by Interpol with a Red Notice in the People's Republic of China.

23.2.1986 - Chinese national, G.Y, born in Sichuan, China was banned from entering the TRNC in accordance with Article 7 of Chapter 105 of the Foreigners and Immigration Law, due to the fact that he was found to have illegally provided betting and gambling over the internet, provided financial support to illegal betting and gambling activities, and also made a profit through Forex activities, which have no legal regulation in the country.

The Council of Ministers extended the ban to Ä°.A, born on 3.6.1990, from entering the TRNC, in accordance with Article 7 of the Chapter 105 Foreigners and Immigration Law, as he is wanted by Interpol for being the leader of a drug gang based in Sweden.
