Hezbollah: media reveal that agents infiltrated… the organisation

The confrontation between Israel and Hezbollah is escalating. After the assassination of Hezbollah’s military commander, Fouad Shakar, dozens of rockets were fired into northern Israel on Saturday.

On the occasion of the discovery of the commander’s body, the Lebanese website ‘Al Janovia’ published a report claiming that the leadership of the organisation is certain that Israeli agents have infiltrated its ranks.

They leak vital information to Israel

The report states that Israel may have information on the composition of Hezbollah, including names, photographs, telephone numbers and addresses.

The website revealed that after the murder of the tenant, a wave of arrests began and investigations were launched into leading figures who knew the assassin’s movements.

It was also written that Hezbollah suspected that a senior security official in the organization knew the location of Sukar, who was suspended and placed under house arrest.

Retaliation continues

The body of Hezbollah’s military commander Fouad Shoukar, on which the above report is based, was found in the rubble of the building bombed on Saturday. The Iranian adviser (liaison in a war zone) Milad Bidi was killed with him. Iran also commented on the attack as a ‘vicious strike’.

Initially, Hezbollah denied that its commander was killed in an Israeli raid, as his body had not been recovered from the rubble. Then that his body was recovered, Hezbollah made a statement.

Still, Hezbollah denied that it attacked the town of Druze, Majdal Sams, whom it considers Syrians under Israeli occupation. A position taken by both Lebanon and Syria at the UN Security Council.

Israel has accepted the attack on Lebanon and presented it as retaliation for the explosion in the Maddal Sams area. At the same time it has repeatedly declared itself ready for full-scale war with Hezbollah and Lebanon.
