Two injured in separate "work accidents" in Haspolat and Girne
Two people were injured in two separate "work accidents" that occurred in Kyrenia and Haspolat on Monday.
According to information provided by the Police Press Office, 36-year-old J. Adekunle, a Nigerian who works at a workplace operating in Haspolat, was injured in his right hand and foot after falling on the board he was pulling in the warehouse.
The incident occurred at around 12.30 on Monday. He was taken to the Lefkoşa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital and kept under observation at the Orthopaedics Department.
In a similar incident, 42-year-old Fethi Yeşil, who was working on a construction site in Kyrenia on Monday, was injured when he lost his balance and fell to the ground from a height of approximately 5.5 meters while pulling wooden pallets.
Following the incident, Yeşil was taken under observation at the Lefkoşa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital.
Police are continuing their investigation into both incidents.
