TRNC political party to submit Two-State Solution motion to Assembly
The Central Executive Board of the National Unity Party has announced that it has decided to submit a motion to the Assembly similar to the one approved last week in the TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey), which adopts the separatist “two-state solution” proposal in Cyprus.
In a statement made by the UBP Press Office, it was emphasised that “Considering that the negotiation ground for federation has been abandoned, the only and ultimate solution on our island is the continuation of the two-state solution policy by confirming our sovereign equality and international equal status, for the TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) to take its rightful place in the international arena, and for the lifting of the restrictions and isolations imposed on our country, and that this requires a united struggle“.
The statement also mentioned, “A proposal for a parliamentary decision encompassing these views and determination has been unanimously approved by our party to be submitted to the TRNC Republican Assembly”.
