Moment a police vehicle hit a pedestrian in north Cyprus

Police teams who went to the scene of a traffic accident in Yeşilköy, which resulted in the death of one person, hit a pedestrian.

It was reported that while the police officer was on duty regarding the traffic accident that occurred on the Yenierenköy-Dipkarpaz Main Road in Yeşilköy at around 9:00pm on Friday July 5 and resulted in death, a police vehicle driven by a police officer, was heading from the direction of Yeşilköy to the direction of Yenierenköy, and due to carelessness, he hit 52-year-old Teyfur Kaya, who was crossing the main road at a place where there was no pedestrian crossing at the time.

In a statement made by the police, it was reported that the pedestrian Teyfur Kaya, who was injured as a result of the accident, was discharged from the Famagusta State Hospital where he was taken by ambulance after treatment and that investigation is ongoing.
