Metamax: ex-police officer arrested in Cyprus, set to appear before Court

The former police officer wanted by Greek Cypriot authorities in connection with Metamax pyramid fraud in Cyprus have been arrested.
 
Greek Cypriot authorities announced on Monday that they have executed an arrest warrant against a 63-year-old retired police officer who was wanted in connection with the investigation.

According to a statement provided by the Police, the retired officer presented himself at the Limassol Police’s offices at approximately 8:00 am this morning, where he was subsequently arrested.

The individual is currently being interrogated, and following this process, he will be brought before the Limassol District Court to request an extension of his detention.

It is worth noting that two other individuals, aged 48 and 54, are already in custody regarding this case.
