Man assaults girlfriend and daughter, sent daughter recorded audio of sexual moment with girlfriend

A man has been detained for 30 days on court order for sharing an intimate video of a woman he had sexual relation with.

The suspect named only as KD was arrested in Lefkosia, north Cyprus on Wednesday July 24 and taken to court on charges of “assault and violation of privacy”.

Police in a court statement said the suspect at around 10:30pm on July 11, 2024, went to his girlfriend's residence in Gönyeli and beat the young woman, strangling her, then grabbed her daughter by the arm and pushed her.

Police said the suspect recorded his girlfriend's voice without her knowledge while she was having sexual intercourse with him in a hotel on July 14, 2024.

The suspect also sent the voice recording he made to his girlfriend's daughter via WhatsApp while he was in Turkey on July 19, 2024.

The complaint was made on July 21, and that an arrest warrant was issued for the suspect because he was abroad, and he was declared a wanted person.

The suspect was detected and arrested when he entered Ercan Airport on July 23, 2024.

Noting that the suspect is a Turkish citizen and resides in Turkey, the police requested that he be sent to prison so that he can be present for his case.

The judge ordered the suspect to be sent to prison for 30 days.
