Fraudsters set up fake website to scam the public: Kib-Tek

The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (Kib-Tek) has issued a warning to the public about a fraudulent website set up for electricity payment.

The electricity authority warned the public to check the address of the site where they will make their payments, stating that some sites have been created for fraudulent purposes by copying the image of the Authority's website.

“The official payment site of the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority is https://online.kibtek.com. Some sites have been set up for fraudulent purposes by placing sponsored advertisements on the Google search engine and by copying the image of our website. Do not trust such sites and please check the address of the site where you will make the payment. Necessary complaints have been made to the relevant authorities against the relevant websites,” Kıb-Tek said in a statement.
