Driver fined for endangering the life of his passengers in north Cyprus
Turkish Cypriot police said it has fined a driver for endangering the life of passengers in his vehicle who hanged out of the car windows while in motion on the Tatlısu-Geçitkale road.
Police said it took action after viral images posted on social media showed the moment two passengers on a moving vehicle stick out their bodies out of the vehicle's windows on the Tatlısu-Geçitkale road on Sunday July 21.
Police said the actions of the passengers posed a danger to their lives by sticking out of the vehicle's windows up to half their waists.
The driver of the vehicle in question was identified by the Famagusta Police Department Teams and was given a fine of 6,785 TL and 25 penalty points for the traffic offense he committed.
