Man scammed €46,900 in electronic fraud in Cyprus

A 28-year-old man in south Cyprus was scammed out of €46,900 after sending the money to a bank account falsely claiming to be part of a car sales company.

After exchanging electronic messages with the fraudulent company, he transferred the funds to an account in England.

He discovered the fraud when the real company informed him they had never received the money.
