Friends of Pakistani student killed in accident demand justice for their friend and protection for international students

Friends of Pakistani student Naveed Akbar, who died on Saturday in a traffic accident that happened in Gemikonağı, north Cyprus has called on authorities to take urgent steps for the safety and welfare of international students.
 
Naveed Akbar's friends in a statement on social media called for the protection and support for international students should be strengthened urgently.

They demanded that the authorities take action and stressed the need to implement comprehensive policies for the safety and welfare of international students in Northern Cyprus. They also called on authorities to introduce stricter fines on alcohol consumption and sales.

The statement stated that they want those responsible to be held accountable before justice and that a detailed and transparent investigation should be carried out to prevent similar accidents from happening again.
