EMU students protest hike in fee: Places coffin in front of the Rectorate

Students of EMU (Eastern Mediterranean University) on Monday June 3 place a coffin in front of the rectors office in protest against hike in tuition.

During the protest, students left a coffin in front of the Rectorate building.

The students in a statement said, "Our actions will persistently continue against this capital order that sees us as walking banknotes and cheap labor force, starting from Ercan and until graduation."

This is the second of such protest in the last 7 days as hundreds of EMU students also staged a protest against the price hikes in front of the Rectorate building on Monday, May 27th.
