Driving license operation in Turkey: 6 arrested for buying fake driving license from TRNC and Georgia

Six people were arrested in an operation carried out against a criminal organization that help those who do not have the qualifications to obtain a driver's license in Turkey to obtain documents from Georgia and TRNC. 

5 of the 6 suspects detained in the fake driver's license operation was released on court order and one of them sent to prison.

Giresun Provincial Police Department carried out an operation centered on the criminal organization that mediates those who do not have the qualifications to obtain a driver's license to obtain documents from Georgia and TRNC. 

In a statement by Giresun Provincial Police Department, it said; “The study was initiated upon identifying many drivers who were on the road with driver's licenses obtained from Georgia. Within the scope of the studies carried out, it was determined that individuals who failed their driver's license exams and whose driver's licenses were taken away as a result of their health status, educational qualifications and previous judicial and administrative proceedings against them, tried to legalize their use in our country by having their fake driver's licenses obtained from Georgia and TRNC translated as notarized. "6 suspects, who were determined to have committed the crime of qualified fraud by gaining unfair advantage in this way, were detained as a result of the simultaneous operation, 6 and 1 people were arrested by the court to which they were referred after their procedures at the police station, and 5 people were released on condition of judicial control."
