Two of three drunks arrested for causing public disturbance in Lefkisoa found to be living in north Cyprus without residence permit

Two of three people who were arrested in Lefkosia in the early hours of Saturday for public disturbance were found to be living illegally in the country without a resident permit.

The three individuals identified only as MKN, 25, DMM, 27 and VMM, 25 were arrested at around 2:30am on Saturday May 25 at Şehit Erdoğan Yıldız Street in Lefkosia after they were reported for causing public disturbance.

Police said the suspects who were under the influence of alcohol were shouting loudly and causing disturbance to the environment.

During the immigration control on them, it was determined that the suspects DMM and VMM were residing in north Cyprus without a residence permit.

In a similar development, the police said 3 people were identified and arrested during inspections and controls carried out by police teams throughout the country on Friday.

Legal action was initiated against the people in question.
