Turkish Cypriot taxi drivers ask for help from the police to tackle illegal taxi activities in Lefkosia

Turkish Cypriot taxi drivers in Lefkosia has expressed their anger over the operation of illegal taxi drivers in the region and requested help from the police. 

Piracy taxis, which continue to increase in the country, have angered employees of the sector and now licensed taxi drivers in Lefkcosia want pirate taxi drivers not to be tolerated.

Taxi drivers who reached out Kıbrıs Postası at the weekend said that they were "disturbed" by pirate taxi drivers.

Explaining that the problem recurs at regular intervals, taxi drivers said that they expect concrete steps from the police and demanded that a solution be found as soon as possible to the problem.
