A report by local daily, Kibris Postasi has claimed that the Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University, which is known for the fake diploma scandal, may be suspended or its license may be revoked.

According to report by Kıbrıs Postası columnist Levent Özadam who brought up the allegation regarding Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University (KSTU), Özadam stated that after the officials of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in Turkey visited the country in recent months, new findings regarding the investigation were detected at the university in question pointing out that the decision to suspend the school or cancel the license is on the agenda.

In his column on Monday, Özadam said, “Dear Levent UYSAL, after the YÖK visit and investigation, some new findings have emerged and some claims have begun to be made that suspension and license cancellation decisions may be taken for your school. "We wanted you to know in advance..." he said.

WHAT HAPPENED?
In February this year, Kemal Doğru, one of the former ministers and Deputy Chairman of the KSTU Board of Trustees, and his wife, Meray Doğru, Director of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, were arrested on the allegation of fake diplomas. After the honest couple, many well-known names were arrested within the scope of the 'fake diploma' or 'corruption' investigation.

The investigation carried out by the police at KSTU continues.
