Man tries to escape from north Cyprus after stealing huge amount of money from a house

A man who stole a huge sum of money from the bedroom of a house in Kyrenia was arrested at Ercan airport after trying to leave the country.

Police in a statement on Monday, May 13 said the suspect named only as AMS 24 stole a total of 42,000 Pounds Sterling cash kept in a bag from the bedroom of a house in Kyrenia.

The suspect who was considered the suspect in the matter, was detected and arrested at Ercan Airport, while he was about to go abroad. 

Investigations into the matter is on going.
