Man injures flatmate for entering the living room without his permission

A 41-year-old man was injured by his roommate who attacked him with a knife because he "entered the living room without permission".

The incident happened on Monday morning in Gönyeli's Yenikent district when 41-year-old MK, attacked his roommate, named only as MG, 42 in the arms with a knife on the grounds that he "entered the living room without permission".

Police stated that following the incident, the suspect was arrested on charges of assault and an investigation was launched against him.

The suspect was taken to the Lefkosia district court.

Police said there were statements to be taken and the investigation was continuing, and requested that he be detained for 3 days for investigation purposes.

The judge who evaluated the testimony in court ordered the suspect to be detained for 4 days.
