Lightning causes fire in a field in north Cyprus

A fire broke out as a result of lightning striking the land in the southern part of Geçitkale Airport in north Cyprus on Sunday which resulted in the uncleared crop on 51 decares of land been burned.

The fire probably caused by lightning broke out in the land in the southern part of Geçitkale Airport at around 4:00pm on Sunday.

The uncleared crops on 51 decares of land were burnt due to the fire, which was extinguished by fire crews.
