Disease that could bring 20 times more d3aths than coronavirus is discovered
A disease that could be more deadlier than coronavirus has been discovered.

Panicked experts have claimed the world is ‘unprepared’ for a new disease which could be far more catastrophic than Covid-19.

World Health Organisation (WHO) boss Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has already said the world is not ready for ‘Disease X’, a term created by the UN agency to describe an unknown infection that could spark another future pandemic.

Considered more of an experiment than a real illness, leading medics say the world must be on guard.

World leaders spent part of this year discussing preparation for the next pandemic. Experts believe that it could result in 20 times more d3aths than the coronavirus pandemic after the hypothetical illness even made it on the WHO’s shortlist of priority diseases, along with viruses like SARS, Ebola and Zika.

In early 2021, it was warned that an outbreak of Disease X could wipe out 75 million people and cause pandemics every five years. The disease may also be worse than the Black D3ath and caused by increasing human activity in animal habitats, it was claimed.

Disease X was mentioned at this year’s World Economic Forum where some of the globe’s most powerful people, top CEOs, and influential academics gather annually in Davos, Switzerland, to discuss global issues. Global health was a key topic at the event this year, with representatives from AstraZeneca and the WHO participating in a panel titled ‘Preparing for Disease X’.

Professor Dame Gilbert says the Pandemic Sciences Institute is trying to understand “more about how viruses emerge, developing vaccines and treatments, analysing data and surveillance of infectious diseases and researching the policy and ethical factors around pandemic response.”
