Cost of living for April in north Cyprus is 5.92%

The TRNC Statistics Institute has announced the cost of living rate for the month of April.

According to their announcement, the coast of living for April is 5.92 percent, thus, the cost of living for the first 4 months of 2024 has reached 22.98 percent.

In the General Index of Consumer Prices, there was a change of 22.98 percent compared to December of the previous year.

The highest increase in the main expenditure groups compared to the previous month was 19.48 percent in the entertainment and culture main group.

Compared to the previous month, the average prices of 483 items included in the index have increased and the average prices of 90 items have decreased.

The highest price increase was realized in Lens Care Drugs with a 244.66 percent increase.

The highest price decrease was in cucumber with 64 percent.
