Two arrested for drugs after their vehicle attracted suspicion

Two young men who were found to have drugs in their possession during a search on their vehicle, were arrested and taken to court.

The vehicle of the suspects, VD and TSG, both from Zimbabwe was searched by the police after it was found suspiciously parked on Salih Miroğlu Street in Kyrenia on Thursday, April, 25.

Police said they detected drugs in their vehicle. They were arrested and taken to court on Friday.

Police said approximately one gram of jute was found wrapped in gray aluminum foil in the underwear of the suspect named TSG.

Police stated that during the search of the personal vehicle of the suspect, approximately 5 grams of a substance believed to be jute, wrapped in a sock, was found in the inner pocket of the front driver's door and taken as evidence.

Police stated that the signs found would be sent for analysis, the mobile phones of the suspects would be examined, and that the investigation was continuing, and requested that the suspects be detained for 3 days.
