Turkish man proposes to girl friend mid-air

A young man surprised his girlfriend when he went down on his knees in in a plane's aisle during their flight to Izmir to proposed marriage to her.

When the plane reached 10,000 feet Osman Burçak, who lives in Cyprus, proposed marriage to his girlfriend Fatmagül Çelik in front of their fellow passengers.

Osman met Fatmagül, who also works in the tourism industry, nine months ago.

With a ring in one hand and a note with his feelings written in the other hand, which he read to his girlfriend, he asked, “Will you marry me?” 

Fatmagül, who was taken by surprise, then accepted his offer and said “Yes”.

 

Burçak put the ring on his girlfriend’s finger and hugged her amidst the applause of the passengers on the plane who witnessed the happy event.
