Drugs found in vehicle stopped during traffic check

Turkish Cypriot police on Sunday night found drugs in a vehicle that was stopped for traffic inspection in Kyrenia leading to the arrest of two individuals.

Two people, AAS, 22, the driver of the vehicle and SAMS, 23, a passenger in the vehicle were arrested.

During the searches carried out on them and at their residences, police said 11 grams of jute, precision scales and a total of 22,145 TL, 470 euros, 300 US dollars and 70 pounds in cash, believed to have been obtained from drug sales, were detected and seized.
