Representative of the Nigerian Ministry of National Education meets with TRNC Minister of National Education in Lefkosia to discuss the situation of Nigerian students in the country
The north Cyprus Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu met with the representative of the Nigerian Ministry of National Education, in Lefkosia on Saturday to discuss the situation and safety of Nigerian students in the country.
The TRNC Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu met with Omeh Nwokpoku, the representative of the Nigerian Ministry of National Education who was in TRNC to hold meetings with Nigerian citizens and students, and Henry Chikogu, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Personnel working at the Nigerian Embassy in Ankara where they exchanged views on the students' situation.
According to the Ministry's statement, Behcet Çelebi, Director of the
Department of Higher Education and Foreign Relations, was also present
at the meeting.
During the meeting, Çavuşoğlu who exchanged views on the situation of Nigerian students in the country emphasized the importance of students' safety and good education of the students on the island.
Çavuşoğlu stated that they would like to see successful students who want to come to the island for education and that they are ready to take any steps to develop cooperation.
Nwokpoku, the representative of the Nigerian Ministry of National Education, also stated that they would like to have better cooperation in terms of the security and welfare of the students who will come to the island, and stated that they received information about the accreditations of universities within the framework of their visits and that there is an opportunity to receive a good education in Northern Cyprus.
